Salary details: Teaching Assistant - Grade 5 (£25,183) per annum, pro rata (pay award pending); 

Senior Teaching Assistant - Grade 7 (£27,711 - £28,624) per annum, pro rata (pay award pending)

Required from 1st September 2025, on a fixed-term basis to 31st August 2026, due to reducing pupil numbers.

The Governors and Headteacher of St Herbert’s CE Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated Teaching Assistant/Senior Teaching Assistant, to join our friendly, supportive and hard-working school team. 
The successful candidate will be required to work from 8:45am until 3:20pm each week-day, during school term-time, with a half-hour lunch break between 12 and 1 (30.4 hours per week).  

We would like to hear from you if you:
•    Are a qualified teaching assistant or childcare practitioner with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent (Teaching Assistant) or level 3 or equivalent (Senior Teaching Assistant) 
•    Have experience of working with children of primary age
•    Have high expectations of yourself and others
•    are able to motivate and encourage children to develop to their full potential;
•    are able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
