Brook Street School is a friendly, welcoming and very diverse school. We are looking to appoint two dedicated, skilled and caring Teaching Assistants to take on a range of roles within classes across the school. The successful candidates can expect to be class-based and: work with groups and individuals, support children with additional needs, deliver planned interventions, help with pastoral care and support trips and other school activities. The year groups for these roles have not yet been decided and so we would welcome applications from individuals with experience across the whole primary age group and would ask that you specify your experience and your preferred age group to work with in your application.
The successful candidate should be:
• A dedicated and caring primary practitioner
• Able to work as part of a team
• Dedicated to the well-being of all the children at the school.
• Committed to developing and enhancing your own professional practice.
• Creative and flexible to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Be able to foster strong relationships with parents, governors, colleagues and other professionals.
• Play a full and active role in the wider life of the school
• Committed to their own professional development
We can offer:
• A good school (March 2022).
• Happy, hardworking, polite and well-behaved children who love to learn.
• A supportive and welcoming staff team.
• A fantastic learning environment
• A commitment to your ongoing professional development.
• A commitment to offering all children access to a wider curriculum.
• A diverse and culturally rich school community.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS enhanced disclosure will be required for this post.
