Attendance Officer

37 hours per week, term-time only (+10 days) – BS8 £31,067 - £31,586 (pay award pending)

Due to the current postholders retirement, we are looking to recruit an Attendance Officer to start as soon as possible to play a key role in maintaining accurate pupil attendance records and ensuring every child has the best opportunity to succeed.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording attendance data, liaising with families, teachers, the pastoral team and external agencies to promote good attendance and punctuality.

 The successful candidate will be expected to respect the need for confidentiality that exists when working in a school environment. They will be a team player, have a pleasant and efficient manner, and good inter-personal skills. They should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, whilst having experience of SIMS (the school’s information management system), however, training will be available as required.
