•    Preferably has experience of working with children with SEND, in particular, having a good understanding of ASC, ADHD and Speech and Language difficulties.
•    Enjoys working with children and can form positive and supportive relationships with children, adults and parents/guardians.
•    Has patience, understanding, a caring nature and a sense of humour.
•    Can demonstrate positive and consistent behaviour management.
•    Can be flexible and are able to demonstrate the ability to work and contribute to working as part of a small team.
•    Is reliable and has a good sickness and punctuality record.
•    Is able to be proactive, resourceful and adaptable.

Oughterside Foundation School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, a pre-employment health assessment and other vetting checks as part of our safer recruitment process.
