After School Club Play Worker

Required from 1st September 2025

The Governing Body and Headteacher of St Herbert’s CE Primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a permanent Play Worker for the After School Club.

Hours of work will be 3-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, during school term-time (12 hours per week). 

PCD3  £24,309 (including UK Living Wage) - £24,404 per annum, pro rata
(£12.60 – £12.65 per hour) – pay award pending

We would like to hear from you if you:
•    have high expectations of yourself and others
•    are able to communicate with a range of individuals, e.g. parents/carers, children, school management;
•    are able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
•    are willing to update knowledge and skills through further training, e.g. safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene.
A Level 3 QCF recognised qualification that is ‘full and relevant’ for the early years is desirable, but is not essential.
