Executive Headteacher (Permanent)

The Governing Body of Holme St Cuthbert Primary School is seeking to recruit an inspirational, ambitious and passionate Executive Headteacher to lead the school forward, maintain stability and continue to drive improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to make a real difference.  You will need to be resilient, creative and show us that you know how to develop a school to be the absolute best for its pupils, families, staff and local community.

We offer an ambitious, high-quality curriculum which expands horizons and raises aspirations to ensure each individual pupil reaches their full potential. As a school we strive to provide a nurturing and caring environment. Our most recent Ofsted inspection report (May 2024) stated, ‘Pupils feel very happy and proud to attend this small and friendly school. Staff provide effective support for pupils’ mental health and well-being. This helps pupils to become confident and successful learners. There is a strong sense of community that makes pupils feel like they belong.’   The school has a committed Governing Body who will work with the Executive Headteacher to take the school forward.

The successful candidate will:

•    have a proven track record of working proactively and collaboratively with other schools and leaders for the benefit of all pupils
•    have the ability to prioritise, plan and organise self and others
•    have the capacity to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and in a variety of styles
•    have a clear vision to further develop the school, ensuring that pupils develop into happy, confident and responsible young people who achieve their full potential
