Fixed Term Part Time Teacher 0.8 to cover maternity leave

Required for January 2026 start.  
Fixed term due to maternity cover teaching position 0.8 in Early Years.

Wigton Nursery and Infant School is a friendly and vibrant school. The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and caring teacher to join our staff team in our friendly and thriving school. This position is fixed term due to maternity cover, for 4 days a week.
The successful candidates will:

• Be committed to inclusive practice and meeting the wide range of needs in our school
• Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children
• Be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed team member and fully prepared to become involved in the wider life of the school
• Show evidence of excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
• Be able to form successful relationships with parents, colleagues and the wider community.
• Be an excellent communicator
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Have good knowledge of Early Years and the expectations of teaching reception

Wigton Nursery and Infant School is a Safeguarding School. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate checks and undertake an enhanced DBS and, where appropriate to the post, a requirement to complete a Childcare Disqualification declaration.
All members of staff undergo safeguarding training.
