Class Teacher (EYFS) Part Time 0.5 Permanent

The post is for a part time 0.5 teacher for Wednesday afternoon, Thursdays (all day) and Fridays (all day)

Crosby on Eden C of E Primary School (Academy Status) is small village school situated just outside of Carlisle and serving the villages of Crosby on Eden, Linstock, Rickerby and beyond. We provide a vibrant and happy learning community within which children flourish. The Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational teacher to join our school. The position is in our Early Years Foundation Stage unit, teaching our Reception and Nursery aged children. The working days are Wednesday afternoons, Thursday and Friday full days with PPA and time with EYFS Lead teacher on a Wednesday afternoon

We are looking for someone who has:

- QTS and proven successful experience of teaching children in an Early Years setting

- Enthusiasm, energy and a commitment to ensuring children achieve their potential and more

- Is, or willing to be, Forest School Trained

- Empathy and commitment towards the caring Christian ethos of the school

- An approachable and welcoming demeanour, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

- An understanding of how to use assessment to create a personalised and challenging learning environment

- A sound understanding of how children learn, coupled with a flexible and creative teaching style which allows every individual child to flourish

- A thorough knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and the ability to bring it to life inside and outside the classroom in a way that stimulates and motivates the children

- A positive and inclusive approach towards behaviour management and SEND

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
