The Governors of Maryport Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team. The position is being initially offered on a temporary basis due to fluctuating pupil numbers and is for the summer term 2026 31st August 2026. There is some flexibility to run this post as 3 full days or to distribute the hours across the week.

The successful candidate will:
•    Recent experience of working with Year 5 or 6 with knowledge of KS2 SATs procedures and expectations
•    have excellent classroom management skills with high expectations of standards to ensure the progress of all pupils;
•    be committed to providing challenging and exciting learning opportunities for all children by motivating and inspiring them;
•   be committed to making learning engaging and meaningful using a cross curricular approach;
•    create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment;
•    be a dedicated, flexible team member who is committed to taking part in the whole life of the school;
•    foster good relationships with parents, pupils, governors, colleagues and other professionals;
•    show commitment to the Christian aims and ethos of Maryport CE Primary School;
   be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children.
