Early Years Teacher (Nursery) – Maternity Cover (Full Time)
Start date: 1st June (or as soon as possible thereafter)

Are you passionate about Early Years education? Are you looking to join an excellent EYFS team with exceptionally high standards for pupils, while still maintaining a positive work–life balance? The Governing Body of Richmond Hill School invites applications from qualified teachers to teach our Nursery class on a full-time, fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave. The post is expected to run from 1st June and will be subject to the current postholder’s return.

Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers

We are looking for someone who:
•    Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong passion for EYFS
•    Has high expectations for behaviour and learning
•    Is collaborative, enthusiastic, and well organised
•    Has an excellent understanding of child development and child-led learning
•    Understands the importance of high-quality adult interactions, oracy, and continuous provision to enhance personal development and our EYFS offer

The successful candidate will:
•    Have experience working within EYFS
•    Plan effectively to meet individual pupils’ needs and identify barriers to learning
•    Be well organised with consistently high expectations
•    Be a committed team member who contributes to wider school life
•    Use a child-led approach supported by excellent interactions and a focus on oracy
•    Engage positively with parents and external professionals
•    Understand safeguarding responsibilities and be willing to take on the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) alongside the existing team
