We are seeking to appoint highly skilled and dedicated educators with a strong passion for reading in Key Stage 2. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of improving reading outcomes in their own school, particularly for pupils who require additional support to secure age-related expectations. They will demonstrate expertise in high-quality teaching, reading fluency development and effective

Key Stage 2 Literacy Specialists are seconded one or two days per week from their home school, with the full support of their headteacher, to work in partnership with schools supported by the English Hub. They are central to the Hub’s offer and work collaboratively with school leaders and teachers to strengthen phonics catch-up, reading fluency and comprehension.

The role includes:
· Supporting the effective delivery of phonics catch-up in KS2
· Developing automaticity, prosody and comprehension through structured fluency instruction
· Coaching and modelling high-quality reading lessons
· Supporting reading leadership and whole-school improvement
· Contributing to evaluation, action planning and sustained impact
