Literacy Specialists – Early Language and Literacy Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled and committed Early Years teachers and leaders who have demonstrated a strong track record of improving communication, language and literacy outcomes in Reception.

Early Language and Literacy Specialists are seconded one or two days per week from their home school, with the full support of their headteacher, to work in partnership with schools supported by the English Hub. They are central to the Hub’s offer and work collaboratively with school leaders and teachers to strengthen early literacy provision.

This role includes:
· Supporting high-quality early language development
· Strengthening Reception literacy practice, including handwriting and composition
· Supporting effective implementation of the DfE Writing Framework
· Providing coaching, modelling and professional development
· Contributing to evaluation, action planning and sustained improvement
