Storm Dave is located over Oslo and continues to move eastwards. Meanwhile, a high-pressure system from the south will begin extending its ridge across the British Isles from late this evening. Light rain is expected through the rest of today, with sleet possible over the Lake District and the Pennines. A drier period will begin from Monday night. Road surface temperatures (RSTs) will generally be around or just above zero, though overnight into Monday morning they may fall below freezing in the Lake District, the Pennines, and Carlisle, bringing a risk of hoar frost and icy patches. Winds today will be westerly at 17–22 mph, with gusts of 35–45 mph, becoming southerly overnight into Monday and easing to 7–12 mph. Visibility will be mainly good.
