The Children, staff and governors of Lowca Community School are seeking to appoint a committed, inspirational full time teacher to join our wonderful, dedicated team from September 2026. The post will be fixed term / temporary initially until 31st August 2027 due to budget constraints and fluctuating pupil numbers.
MPR depending on relevant experience
The person appointed may also be able to take on the responsibility of leading a subject, mentoring Teacher Apprentices, or developing a key stage unit with the support of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills;
• High expectations of all pupils and is committed to creating a stimulating classroom environment;
• The ability to enthuse all children to learn and understands what is required to secure outstanding progress;
• A passion for education and is able to demonstrate consistently good and outstanding classroom practice;
• Excellent communication skills at all levels (and is able to deploy support staff effectively);
• The ability to inspire, motivate and work effectively in a team;
• Great creativity and knows how to support children to become independent, persevere with challenges and present their work to a high standard;
• A belief in the development of the whole child;
• The ability to support children of all abilities, through inclusive practice, with high level of SEND knowledge and training.
