Permanent Finance and Office Manager – Term Time Only
Full-Time (37 hours per week)
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Finance and Office Manager to join our hardworking and friendly team at Frizington Community Primary School. This key role leads the day-to-day management of the school office and financial operations, providing essential support to the Headteacher, staff, pupils and wider school community. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring efficient administration, robust financial management and consistently high-quality service delivery across the school.
Salary : BS7 FTE £28,598 to £29,540 (pro-rata) Actual Salary £21,389.68 to £22,094.24
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the school office, including supervision of staff
• Oversee financial processes, including budgeting support, transactions, reconciliations and reporting
• Ensure efficient administrative systems and high standards of service delivery across the school
• Support HR processes, including recruitment, attendance and performance management
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies and procedures
• Contribute to health and safety, including site responsibilities such as Fire Warden duties

Essential Qualification and Experience
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 (or above) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience of financial processes, procedures and budget management
• Strong ICT skills, including experience of relevant financial and administrative systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils,
parents and external partners.
