School Administrator
BS7 (FTE equivalent): £28,598 (SCP12) - £29,540 (SCP14)
Hours per week: 37
Working weeks: 42 (term time + 4)
Starting salary (pro rata for 42 working weeks): £26,374

The Governing Body of this popular, successful and family-centred school are seeking a friendly, hardworking and highly committed School Administrator to join our caring and dedicated staff team. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that parents, pupils and visitors receive a warm welcome which reflects our Catholic ethos.  

This vital and demanding role involves a wide range of tasks including:
•    Being the first point of contact for visitors to school
•    general admin duties including minute taking, organising visits etc
•    managing school records, data and communications
•    providing administrative support to the Headteacher and School Business Manager
•    operating relevant IT packages
•    ordering and processing payments.
•    Managing day to day finance tasks including processing all monies which come into school, banking etc
•    Being the designated First Aider in school
•    supporting school events

The successful candidate will:
•    Have experience of working within an administrative role. Prior experience of working within a school environment is preferable, but full training will be given.
•    Be friendly and approachable, dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone and via email whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. 
•    Be able to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks.
•    Have excellent skills in oral and written communication.
•    Have excellent IT skills and familiarity with a range of packages including Microsoft.
•    Experience of dealing with a school management information system (Arbor) would be an advantage but not essential.
•    Be organised, efficient and committed to teamwork.
•    Be willing to undertake First Aid training.
