Working days and hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am – 3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch break and Friday 8.30am – 12.30pm.
PCD5 £25,989 per annum pro rata term time only
Wigton Nursery and Infant School is a friendly and vibrant school. The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and caring teaching assistant to join our staff team in our friendly and thriving school. This post is likely to be across the school rather than fixed to 1 class.
Applications would also be welcome from colleagues who have experience of working with children with SEN.
The successful candidate will:
• Be committed to inclusive practice and meeting the wide range of needs in our school.
• Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children
• Work with 1:1, small groups and whole class where appropriate
• Be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed team member and fully prepared to become involved in the wider life of the school
• Show evidence of excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
• Be able to attend some staff meetings and training sessions
• Be able to form successful relationships with parents, colleagues and the wider community.
• Hold NVQ2 or 3 or equivalent
• Be an excellent communicator
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Have good knowledge of the EYFS or KS1 curriculum
