Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Numeracy (Permanent)
31.25 hours/week, 39 weeks per year , term time
Starting Salary: HLTA £23190 - £23577 including holiday pay (PCD8)
Start: 1st September 2026
We are looking for a dedicated HLTA to support the learning of our SEND students and specialising in supporting numeracy, both in and out of the classroom.
Students supported by the SEND department demonstrate a wide range of learning difficulties. Caldew is a resourced provision for students with autism; we have students with SEMH needs as well as speech, language and communication and cognition and learning. You will be working across the range, from pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan with specific or severe learning difficulties to pupils with minor or temporary access difficulties. You may work extensively on a one-to-one/ small group basis or within a class room setting. You may work as part of a multi-agency team as well as closely with family and carers.
