32.5 hours per week part time , term time  -  PCD7 £29,540 ( B) (pro rata £22,318)

Start date to be negotiated depending on successful applicant’s current commitments.

The governors at Ashfield Junior School would like to appoint a  senior teaching assistant to support a pupil on the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. This post will be on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027 due to SEN Funding Restrictions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the learning and development of a pupil with additional learning needs within our inclusive school.

We need someone to support a pupil in Year 3 with severe learning difficulties. This pupil needs someone who will help them to access the school day working on an alternative curriculum based around practical tasks. They need someone who will be patient and calm encouraging them to make good choices and recognising the fantastic skills they have. They need someone who will support them through times when they may feel agitated or lack concentration. They need someone that can work well as part of a team of adults providing support.
