Moresby Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of its pupils, engages with young people and staff in policy and practice developments, proactively encourages feedback and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Please note that the nature of this post means that a suitable Enhanced Disclosure (with relevant barred list check(s) if the post will be in Regulated Activity), and a confirmation that the applicant is not disqualified from working with children will be required for the successful candidate.

We are looking for a wonderful PPA Cover Teacher to help us nurture and develop our children. The post is for two days per week, with the successful candidate working across school.  There is some flexibility around which days of the week would be worked.

Being part of the team at Moresby School is both challenging and fulfilling. We expect the very best of each other in order to give our children fantastic learning opportunities, and to help them make the greatest possible progress.

While we work very hard, we also have a lot of fun; we laugh every single day, and have special events through the year which help our children grow in all sorts of ways.

The successful applicant will be
-    An enthusiastic and engaging teacher who can inspire children and foster a love of learning
-    A strong classroom manager, creating a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment
-    Adaptable and well organised, able to move confidently between classes, subjects and year groups
-    Skilled at adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
-    Committed to high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
-    A reflective and collaborative professional who works well with colleagues and contributes positively to school life.
-    Creative and resourceful, bringing energy and fresh ideas to lessons.
-    Warm, approachable and relational, building positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
-    A flexible team player who is willing to contribute to the wider life of our school and enjoys working in a close-knit primary setting.

We can offer
• A lovely, small village school with enthusiastic and experienced teachers and teaching assistants, who are dedicated to ensuring every child succeeds
• A senior leadership team committed to staff and pupil wellbeing and mental health
• Amazing children and supportive parents
• Opportunities to take part in training and professional development

We’d love for you to come to meet us, so would like to invite you to school at 3.30pm on Monday 14th September for a look round and a chat with the head teacher.

If you can make it, and/or you would like application pack, please contact Cara Gearing - our Administration Officer - via [email protected]  to let us know.
