Workington and Surrounding Area TRO Review – Statutory Consultation

Cumberland Council is currently conducting a review of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) within Workington and the surrounding area.

An informal consultation for these proposals was carried out earlier this year. This second statutory consultation exercise gives members of the public and residents another opportunity to give feedback before proposals are presented at the Highways and Transport Strategic Board later in the year, where a final decision will be made. Please note that responses received during the previous informal consultation exercise are NOT taken forward in the statutory consultation.

We invite you to provide feedback on these proposals by emailing TROresponses@cumberland.gov.uk. Please label your correspondence “Workington TRO Review” and include the relevant proposal number. The deadline for submitting your comments is Thursday 19th June 2025.
