Close a road for an event
If you are planning to hold an event and want to temporarily close the road, you must apply for a temporary traffic regulation order. You may also have to apply if the event is likely to create extra congestion on surrounding roads.

You must apply at least 4 months before the date of the event.
If it is a new event please discuss this with the Traffic Management Team Leader for the area who will also support you with completing the application form.
