Facilities and features

Hammond's Pond includes a variety of recreational features:

• Two car parks, off Blackwell Road and off Buchanan Road with free parking
• Café: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday during the season from 1 April (or Easter holidays if this is earlier) to 30 November
• Public toilets
• Children's play areas
• Full sized and junior football pitches
• All weather Multi Use Game Area
• Miniature Railway and Headquarters of the Carlisle and District Model Engineering Society Miniature Railway: 2pm to 4pm Sundays only (Easter to end of October)
• Flat accessible paths running throughout the park providing circular routes
