Providers must follow published deadlines and requirements when claiming early years funded entitlements. These dates affect eligibility checks, headcount submissions and funding payments.
What providers need to be aware of
Important requirements providers must follow when claiming early years funded entitlements:
- funding is claimed in line with published termly headcount dates
- eligibility checks must be completed within the required timescales
- late or incomplete submissions may affect funding payments
Providers are responsible for ensuring claims are accurate and submitted on time.
Submitting headcounts for funding claims
All early years funded entitlement claims are submitted through the Early Years Provider Portal.
Providers must:
- submit headcounts in line with the published termly dates
- ensure child eligibility details are accurate at the point of submission
- retain evidence to support funding claims
Further guidance on submitting headcounts will be provided through the portal.
