An autumn and winter programme of events is being lined up for Carlisle’s revamped city centre.

Fifteen years on from where it all began - Taste Cumbria is back in Cockermouth on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September 2025. This celebration of food, drink, fabulous flavours and family fun will take place in the heart of the town and promises to be the biggest event yet as there are three locations this year. Find the producers’ stalls on Main Street, the Street Party on Market Place and even more attractions at the newly-reopened Jennings Brewery.

The countdown is underway for the return of a popular Carlisle International Market. The open-air event will be held in Carlisle city centre between Thursday 21 and Monday 25 August.

Maryport’s fabulous Taste of the Sea festival is bringing food, drink, music and more to the town’s lovely waterfront this weekend, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August. This year it promises to be even bigger and better, with two sites, two stages and even more entertainment for all the family.

A fun creative competition has been launched to coincide with the first Taste Cumbria festival of 2025.

Regretfully, the decision has been made to cancel the Taste Cumbria Christmas food festival in Cockermouth this weekend (Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December).

A programme of events is planned in the Cumberland area over May Bank Holiday weekend and during Spring.

One of the stars of TV’s Bake Off will be cooking up a feast at Taste Cumbria Christmas in Cockermouth. Crystelle Pereira will appear on the festival’s Demo Stage on Saturday 9 December at 1pm, then signing copies of her debut book, My Flavour Kitchen, for cookery fans from 2pm.
