Handmade jewellery, Fairtrade wooden furniture and carvings will be available, as well as the well‑known Dutch Flowers on Tour, which will bring a large selection of plants, bulbs, shrubs, trees and garden ornaments.

When you’re all shopped out you can relax and unwind in a Continental Street Bar with a variety of Continental beers and wine.

The event has become a regular feature in Carlisle’s calendar, attracting both residents and visitors with its mix of international flavours and distinctive products. This year’s market is expected to offer the same welcoming atmosphere and variety that have made it a popular fixture.

Councillor Anne Quilter, Cumberland Council’s Executive Member for Vibrant and Healthy Places, said:

“The International Market has become a familiar part of Carlisle’s events calendar, and we’re pleased to welcome it back again this April. It brings a good mix of food, crafts and fresh produce into the city centre, and we know many residents and visitors look forward to exploring what the traders have to offer.”

Carlisle’s market will continue as usual on Friday 3 April and will be based at the top of English Street. Visitors can enjoy wandering through a vibrant selection of stalls filled with fresh local produce, handmade crafts, unique gifts, clothing, and an array of other delights from our fantastic local traders.
