Brief ridge condtions persist into today before Low pressure , centred Iceland tracks to drag it’s associated fronts across the forecast areas from late tonight. Further Atalntic lows will impact during the period. SSW’ly winds <25 mph will increase into Sunday >25 mph with strong gale force gusts 30-42 mph, highest gusts in coastal and hilly areas. Periods of heavy rain from tonight will persisit into Sunday for Cumberland. Some localsied flooding is likely with large accumulations of rainfall. .Visibility good reducing moderate to poor in heavy rainfall. Monitor the dashboard for flood warnings. A UKMO Yellow weather warning for rain is in force for the region today before rising to Amber for more south and western areas of the county tomorrow morning/afternoon with a risk of 200 mm of rain over a 48 hr Period.
