A showery regime for Cumberland which continues into Tuesday early morning, some wintry at times across the higher grounds of Cumberland with hail at times into tonight. Mainly slight to moderate rain showers, up to 1.7 mm hr tonight in the South Pennines at 2300. Turning dry into Tuesday morning and much fairer conditions into midweek. Remaining cold with the risk of ice and hoar frost. Winds NW’ly 14-27 mph with some isolated gusts >30 mph , mainly high ground and coastal regions. Visibility mainly good but moderate in wintry showers overnight and areas of hill fog. RST’s sub-zero overnight.
