Low pressures over Iceland stall. A brief ridge of high pressure during Wednesday. Further deep Atlantic low pressures sweep in and merge bringing a very unsettled period to the UK. Periods of slight to moderate rainfall/showers, some heavy at times during this evening , >2.5mm per hr at times. Wednesday should mainly dry with some isolated showers. WSW'ly winds increase during today and tomorrow, WSW winds 14–27 mph, with peak winds expected later today and again on Wednesday morning with isolated gale force gusts.. Some hill mist, fog and low cloud will reduce visibility in parts later today and on Wednesday morning.RST's remain well above zero during the period.
