The short term priorities for 2026 to 2028 are:
- agree plan to increase Shared Lives placements
- increase the supply of supported housing by 45 units in partnership with RHP, private developers and third sector
- promote use of choice based lettings
- develop a dynamic demand forecasting model that captures the pipeline of young people transitioning from children's to adult services, people living with carers who may require future supported housing
- review the appropriateness of current accommodation for either reconfiguration or re-development where required
The medium term priorities for 2028 to 2031 are:
- increase the supply of supported housing by 47 units
- plan for return of individuals from out of area placements where needs can be safely met and local provision is appropriate
