Licensing conditions for a caravan site licence
Section 5 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 provides the model standards and conditions for new applications from 2008.
Conditions attached to licences before 2008 will not change.

Site owners must display the licence clearly on the site.
Site rules and consultation
Site rules are different to site licence conditions. The owner of the site will put in the place the site rules to make sure acceptable standards are maintained. This will benefit the occupiers and will help promote community cohesion on the site.
Site owners must review their site rules and remove any that are banned under the Mobile Homes Act.
They must:
- Follow government guidance to create new site rules
- Hold a consultation for at least 28 days with residents and residents' associations
- Send the updated rules for our approval
