What happens after you report someone
When you report someone sleeping rough, outreach services will try to find them and offer support.
This may include:
- help to find accommodation
- access to support services
- advice based on their situation
If someone needs urgent help
Call 999 if:
- the person needs urgent medical attention
- you believe they are in immediate danger
- you think they are under 18
Severe weather
During periods of severe weather, additional support may be put in place to help protect people who are sleeping rough.
This may include emergency accommodation when there is a risk to life.
If the person is not sleeping rough
If the person is not sleeping rough but may be homeless or at risk of losing their home, you should contact us instead.
