- Ordnance Survey maps

The Jackson Collection
The Jackson Collection includes:
- books, pamphlets and periodicals
- maps and plans, including Ordnance Survey maps and historic county maps
- personal papers and family pedigrees
- council reports and committee minutes
- institutional and business records
- photographs and postcards
- ephemera including theatre playbills, election pamphlets, rare broadsides and records of local clubs and societies
Many original records are held in secure storage and must be requested in advance.

Most original records in the Jackson Collection are held in secure storage and are not available on open access.
To view original records:
- give at least 48 hours’ notice
- send a list of the items you would like to view at least 48 hours before your visit
- note that additional requests made during your visit are limited to 3 items
For drop-in visits, up to 3 items may be requested on the day,
No original records will be produced after 4pm.
