A bold new creative project designed to bring communities together across the region in a celebration of health, self-expression, and collective imagination has launched in Cumberland with opportunities for artists and people in the community to get involved.
An advertising campaign, promoting Cumberland and its many spectacular visitor attractions, is set to reach a potential audience of more than 750,000 people from this week.
Cumberland Council and Wardell Armstrong LLP (part of SLR) are proud to announce the release of Life and Death in Roman Carlisle: Excavations at 107-117 Botchergate, 2015, a groundbreaking publication that brings to life the fascinating Roman-era heritage of Carlisle.
With support from Cumberland Council through the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the award-winning community archaeological dig, Uncovering Roman Carlisle, is set to return to Carlisle’s Roman Bathhouse from this Saturday (15 February) and into March.
Cumberland Council, in partnership with local artists, Tullie, and the University of Cumbria, is bringing vibrant, homegrown art to the heart of Carlisle’s city centre.
