Forecast: Low pressure to the West of the Hebrides with associated frontal systems clears to the East. Further low pressure with frontal systems in the Mid Atlantic will push through towards the end of week. A brief transient ridge of high pressure gives a small respite. Moderate to fresh WSW'ly dominate during the forecast period, at times in exposed areas gusting 10-15mph more than the mean. Coastal and Pennines will experience the strongest winds before abating to <25mph on Wednesday.
