How long searches take
We normally respond to a land charge search within 10 working days.
It may take longer if you ask CON29O optional questions or additional questions. This is because we may need information from other council services or external organisations.
For urgent searches, email the relevant team for the former area related to your search.
Personal searches
Most searches are carried out by solicitors, but anyone can inspect the local land charges register using our online mapping service.
