Make a referral
Use the referral service to:
- request help for yourself
- refer somebody else who needs support
- meet the duty to refer if you work for a public authority

If you work for a public authority
Public authorities, including prisons, hospitals and Jobcentre Plus, have a legal duty to refer people who may be homeless or at risk.
You must:
- notify us if someone is homeless or may become homeless
- share relevant information, with consent where required
- refer as early as possible, ideally within 56 days
Help for young people
Support is available if you are a young person at risk of homelessness, or if you are supporting someone.
