Notify us if you or someone else is homeless

Refer yourself or someone else if you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

If you are homeless now or may lose your home within the next 56 days, contact us as soon as possible or submit a referral.

Make a referral

Use the referral service to:

  • request help for yourself
  • refer somebody else who needs support
  • meet the duty to refer if you work for a public authority

Submit a referral using the Housing assistance referral portal

If you work for a public authority

Public authorities, including prisons, hospitals and Jobcentre Plus, have a legal duty to refer people who may be homeless or at risk.

You must:

  • notify us if someone is homeless or may become homeless
  • share relevant information, with consent where required
  • refer as early as possible, ideally within 56 days
