Pleasure boat licence: Allerdale
You need a pleasure boat licence if you hire out boats to carry up to 12 passengers. This includes:
- motorboats
- rowing boats
- canoes
- dinghies
- sailboards
- paddleboards
All boats are inspected every year by a council-appointed inspector.
