To apply for a new vehicle licence, you need:
- your V5C certificate or proof of purchase
- a valid MOT certificate, if applicable
- your vehicle insurance certificate
We recommend submitting your application and evidence at least 2 weeks before you want to start using the vehicle.
To apply for a taxi and private hire vehicle licence, complete the application form.
