Required for September 2024, a well-qualified teacher of KS3, GCSE and A-level History. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher. The post is suitable for either an ECT or a teacher with experience.

History is one of our most successful departments with a well-equipped suite of rooms in a separate block shared with RE. We also have a dedicated Administrative Assistant who supports some lessons and carries out some administrative duties on behalf of departmental staff.

The Nelson Thomlinson School is a high performing secondary school on the fringe of the Lake District in Cumbria. Ofsted’s most recent visit in October 2023 highlighted our strong traditions and a school where pupils (and staff) are proud to live out it’s values. NTS also has a dedicated Professional Development department where opportunities for staff development and training are made a priority.
