Children, parents and carers have been informed of their primary school offer today with over 97.3% offered their first preference in the Cumberland Council area.

A new ‘pocket park’ and three areas of new marked car parking have been created in the centre of Maryport.

This Saturday (20 April) Water Street car park will be packed with a Producers’ Market, live music stage, hot food stands and a quirky cocktail bar. In the Market Hall there will be a Youth Market, while outside will be loads of family activities like magic shows, circus skills workshops, street art sessions and fairground rides.
