Newtown Road drainage improvement works have been completed a week ahead of schedule by Cumberland Council.

Cumberland Council is informing residents and businesses that there will be embankment repairs at Cairn Bridge near Warwick Bridge in Carlisle. The embankment repairs are scheduled to start on Monday 24 July and will continue until approximately Wednesday 6 September, weather permitting.

Cumberland Council is informing residents and businesses that there will be improvement works on the A6071 Brampton to Smithfield. The carriageway improvements are scheduled to start on Monday 24 July with a scheduled completion date of Tuesday 22 August. These works will be carried out under a daytime road closure from approximately 8am – 8pm, each day.
