St John Henry Newman Catholic School is situated on the edge of the Great Border City of Carlisle, on an elevated site with open views over the countryside and city. Located within a short drive from the Lake District National Park and easy access to M6 motorway providing links to both South West Scottish Borders and beautiful Cumbria.

Our brand new school offers a modern, airy environment with excellent facilities. Ofsted recently judged the school as “good” in all areas with the Science Department in particular a strength of the school. We are seeking to appoint a creative, forward thinking and dynamic Head of Department on a permanent , full time basis.

Our Science department comprises of specialist teachers in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We deliver the National Curriculum using Activate resources to KS3, then we move on to AQA Trilogy supported by AQA Triple Award.

As we have specialists in all fields we are able to deliver A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Applied Science. As a department we are lucky to be supported by two excellent technicians who support us with our practical work, they are always on hand to try new practicals and enjoy coming up with new ways to carry out practicals.  In our new school building we are all located on the same floor, with six large science labs and an enviably large prep room, all with views across the playing fields and farm fields.

Assistant Site Manager

SEND Teaching Assistant

Kirkbampton CE School are seeking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our lovely school.  The role will be to support a child with ASD who will start Reception in September 2024.  The child will require full time support within the classroom, dining hall and during break times outside.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate :-

•    Has a relevant NVQ2 qualification or higher
•    Has recent relevant experience of working with children with ASD
•    Has experience of/willing to learn basic Makaton
•    Is calm, patient and nurturing
•    Is resilient, committed and flexible and able to think on their feet
•    Builds excellent relationships with children, staff and parents
•    Supports the Christian ethos of the school
•    Is sensitive to the needs of the child when supporting eating and delivering intimate care
•    Is energetic and able to keep up with a busy four year old

Administration Clerical and Finance Level 2/Clerk to Governors

Cleator Moor Nursery School are looking to employ a Permanent level 2 Administrator clerical and finance/Clerk to Governors to commence employment on Monday 3rd June 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

BS4 £23,500 pro rota, term time only position + 2 weeks during School closure. 20hrs per week, however we would consider applications for 16 hours+.  

We are looking for someone to join our School team who:
