Permanent – Midday Supervisor

The Children, staff and governors of Beckermet C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly School community to supervise pupils in and about the school during the lunch break and to ensure their safety, welfare and general conduct through appropriate application of the school’s policies and procedures. The working hours would be 7.5 hours per week – 11.30 – 1.00pm Monday - Friday, term time only.

Salary:  PCD3 (£24,796 (A) pro rata/ ( this including the living wage supplement hourly rate  £13.45 per hour)

Duties will include:
•    Setting up the dining room for lunchtime
•    Supervising and assisting children during mealtimes
•    Cleaning and clearing away tables in the dining room

SENCo

The Nelson Thomlinson School is a high performing secondary school on the fringe of the Lake District in Cumbria, serving the needs of the small town of Wigton and its surrounding catchment area. We are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced practitioner to join the SEND team. The person will support the Learning Support Department with the SEND agenda working with colleagues and external agencies when required.

This will involve line managing the Assistant SENCo, and working alongside the pastoral team and Learning Support Department to help support the increasing number of pupils with SEN.

The post holder will be required to become a designated safeguarding person.

Teacher Of Science
(maternity leave)
Temporary, full-time

Required from September 2026 until July 2027 (exact dates to be confirmed), a well-qualified Science teacher to cover maternity leave.

The Science department shares this ethos and prides itself on the quality of education it provides for pupils of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a highly talented and dedicated teacher to join an experienced team, passionate about their subject. We offer opportunities to teach across the ability range in KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 teaching for a colleague with the relevant specialism. 

Professional development is a particular strength and we can offer the successful candidate a professionally rewarding environment in which to develop their skills.
