Class Teacher – Full Time, Permanent

Brook Street School is looking to appoint a dedicated, knowledgeable and effective key stage two teacher to work with our year four class in the first instance.

We are looking for somebody with strong subject knowledge and pedagogy, who can foster excellent classroom relationships and promote a love of learning. You will also be skillful in adapting your teaching to meet the needs of different learners and using formative and summative assessment to secure good outcomes.

We are fortunate to have a team of excellent teaching and support assistants at our school and the successful candidate will be able benefit from their knowledge, experience and support to enhance their teaching and secure good outcomes for all pupils.

The Governing Board of Scotby CE School are seeking a friendly, hardworking and highly committed School Administrator to join our caring and dedicated staff team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that parents, pupils and visitors receive a warm welcome which reflects our Christian ethos.  

This vital role involves a wide range of tasks including:
•    reception duties
•    general admin duties including minute taking, organising visits etc
•    managing school records, data and communications
•    providing administrative support to the Headteacher and School Business Manager
•    supporting school events
•    operating relevant IT packages
•    ordering and processing payments.

The successful candidate will:
•    Have experience of working within an administrative role. Prior experience of working within a school environment is preferable, but full training will be given.
•    Be friendly and approachable, dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone and via email whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. 
•    Be able to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks.
•    Have excellent skills in oral and written communication.
•    Have excellent IT skills and familiarity with a range of packages including Microsoft.
•    Experience of dealing with a school management information system (Arbor) would be an advantage but not essential.
•    Be organised, efficient and committed to teamwork.
•    Be willing to undertake First Aid training.
