This is an exciting opportunity to take our catering provision forward in the school. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and prepare healthy and nutritional menus, order food and manage the kitchen, cook, serve and clear up afterwards.

The Governors of Stanwix School are seeking to appoint a Part Time Site Manager to join our friendly school. The role will become permanent after a probation period of six months. The successful candidate will be employed for 15 hours per week (with some flexibility), for 38 weeks during term time and an additional 4 weeks during school holiday periods as well as 6.4 weeks holiday pay initially. Annual salary is £24,294 pro rata.

We seek a conscientious and flexible individual to undertake a range of site supervision and general maintenance duties, both within the School building and on site. You will be responsible for the security and operation of the premises including the locking of the building on a daily basis, general maintenance and monitoring and routine building checks.

Monday to Friday - 08.00 to 16.00 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 15.30 on Friday

To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.  

Can deliver up to five timetabled lessons as required by the department's needs and lead whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
 
The successful candidate will:

•    Have a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or three years full-time or five years part-time experience as a Senior Teaching Assistant.
•    Have up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare, safety and education of children.
•    Understand the principles of child development and learning processes.
•    Have an ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities.
•    Have an ability to relate well to children and adults.

Frizington Nursery School & Preschool are looking to employ a Early Years Childcare Assistant Level 2 who is friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children in
the Early Years Foundation Stage. This post will require you to work across both our
Preschool and Nursery School classrooms and will commence as soon as possible.

PCD5 £23,893 pro rota, full year position. 20hrs per week, overtime will be available, however we will consider applications for part-time hours 16+.

Initially this is a fixed term contract for 1 year due to pupil numbers , however there is a possibility this could be extended.
