Permanent Part-Time Midday Supervisor (Term Time Only/Part-Time)

Hours: 6.25 hours per week 
(Term time only – 38 weeks)

We are looking for a highly-motivated, reliable and conscientious Midday Supervisor/ to become part of our hardworking team supervising lunchtimes and ensuring the safety of our pupils both indoors and outdoors.

The successful candidate will:

•    Enjoy working with children.
•    Have a love of games and encouraging children to take part in outdoor activities.
•    Have strategies for encouraging good behaviour at all times.
•    Have the ability to work on their own initiative and problem solve.
•    Be a dedicated team member who can use their own initiative and is able to be flexible
•    Understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion.

The role will be 6.25 hours per week: 5 sessions per week (Monday to Friday); term time only.

Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an excellent teaching assistant, preferably with experience in an Early Years, KS1 or KS2 setting, and experience of supporting children with SEN. 30 hrs per week  term time only plus inset days

• The duties will include:
• supporting the teachers across Early Years, KS1 or KS2
• general classroom support
• experience of supporting on a one-to-one basis with SEND needs, this could be ASC, physical medical difficulties or severe learning difficulties

• you will be required to have a good clear understanding of the expectations of the primary curriculum
• Experience of systematic synthetic phonics or Read Write Inc. training 


To be successful you must:
- have previous experience of working as a teaching assistant in a similar environment
- have previous experience of working with a primary school to support progress in learning 
- have sound numeracy and literacy skills
- have a good knowledge of SEND
- be resourceful and proactive in initiating learning, tasks and classroom management
- be keen, dynamic, patient and confident in your approach
- have a passion to work with young people and be committed to safeguarding children.
- be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
- be willing to commit to further SEND training to meet the needs of the children within the school

Desirable: Have experience of or willing to train in the following functions:
- Working with children with hearing impairment / physical and medical needs / children with autism
