This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dedicated team.  We are seeking a senior teaching assistant to work with children with special educational needs in Key Stage 1.

The position is fixed term as it has been created to meet the needs of specific pupils with Educational Health Care Plans.

St  Bees Village school is looking to recruit a mid-day supervisor to work 5 hours a week, 1 hour per day from 12:00 until 13:00 to supervise children in the school hall whilst they eat their lunch and out at play.  It is rewarding and valued role within school and requires someone who is good with children and happy to help.

The successful candidate will:

Ensuring the supervision of pupils at appropriate times

organising the effective transfer or responsibilities for pupils’ welfare between midday supervisory staff and teachers

Ensuring that all minor problems and infringements of disciplinary rules are dealt with swiftly and effectively,.

Reporting persistent unruly behaviour or more serious breaches of discipline to a senior member of the teaching staff by the process established in the School.

Reporting any emergency or serious incident to the Head teacher or Deputy Headteacher immediately

Seek prompt assistance for any accidents/incidents in accordance with established school procedures

Ensuring that health and safety practices and procedures affecting pupils are maintained during the midday break

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to join the central Finance and Payroll team to undertake the role of Payroll and Finance Officer.

Working alongside the Senior Payroll and Finance Officer, the Payroll and Finance Officer will provide an accurate and effective payroll service for all staff employed across Changing Lives Learning Trust.

This is a very varied and demanding role with scope for development and you will be exposed to a variety of payroll and financial tasks, working within statutory financial guidelines and requirements. The role will primarily be based in the payroll department with some exposure to the finance processes.

Experience and an understanding of payroll processes, legal requirements, Teachers and Local Government Pension Schemes are essential to this role. 

You will be expected to contribute to developments in our payroll and finance service offering to our academies/schools and build effective professional working relationships with employees at all levels.

•     deliver planned activities
•     supervise primary aged pupils within WRAP Club environment
•     maintain WRAP club register
