32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4pm, Term Time Only
Salary: PCD7 £27,711 - £28,624 per annum, pro rata (dependent upon experience)

The Governors at Distington Community School are seeking to appoint a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our friendly and caring school to work within our KS2 unit. 

This position is available as soon as possible, however the start date is negotiable on successful appointment.

Another exciting opportunity has become available at our school. After our most recent successful Ofsted inspection (January 25) we are now looking for a highly motivated STA with experience of working in KS2 who is;

•    Positive, enthusiastic and to be a part of our successful school team

•    Able to effortlessly build rapport with children, parents and staff
•    Knowledgeable about the KS2 curriculum

•    Skilled in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN)
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support children’s development
•    Proactive in assisting teachers with classroom management
•    Able to monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers 
•    Flexible and adaptable to different teaching methods and styles
•    Committed to continuous professional development and learning
