Following a recent Town Deal engagement event, thanks have been passed on to the community and businesses of Millom and Haverigg for their involvement and input.

Cumberland Council is asking the public to vote on a new name for the Wave centre, which is about to undergo major refurbishment, colours for new public realm signage, and a new emblem depicting Maryport which will be used on that signage.

A planning application to update and revitalise Maryport’s Wave Centre has been approved by Cumberland Council. Work can now start on the prominent building, boosting facilities for locals and visitors of all ages. It’s part of a multi-million pound investment project which aims to revitalise the town’s high street, harbourside and promenade.
