Fixed Term 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant 
PCD5 £25,183 (FTE per annum pro rata) term time only plus 1 week INSET
(fixed term until 19th July 2025 due to varying EHCP hours. There may be the opportunity for this to be extended and we would be keen to discuss this further as we approach the Summer Term.)

While we would prefer a full-time position, we could consider accommodating a part-time contract for the right candidate.

The Governors of Silloth Primary School are looking to recruit a lively, enthusiastic, well-motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a range of SEN pupils in KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate should be capable of integrating swiftly and successfully into our hard working, friendly and experienced team as soon as possible.

 The successful candidate will:
•    Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent. 
•    Have experience of working with SEND children
•    Be committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential
•    Have high expectations for all pupils and be committed to raising standards
•    Have good listening and behaviour management skills
•    Have a good understanding of, and commitment to, the safeguarding and welfare of children
•    Be able to follow direction from the class teacher and also use their own initiative
•    Be enthusiastic, motivated and fully prepared to participate in the wider life of the school 
•    Have a willingness to work with a committed staff team
•    Work with the pupil for part of the lunch hour each day

Design Technology Technician

West Lakes Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person to join the Technology Team. This is a key role in providing a welcoming and safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

Working hours negotiable - up to 37 hours per week, term-time only (40 weeks per year including INSET and out of term working)

We seek a conscientious, adaptable technician to support the Technology curriculum.
Under the instruction/guidance of senior staff, to provide assistance and information as required in the preparation of resources, maintenance and support to staff and pupils. Ensuring requirements are followed, meeting both the health & safety standards and the requirements of the classes involved.

Includes helping to ensure that stock levels are maintained, safely stored and future requirements are identified. With occasional assistance to the other curriculum technicians if required.

This is a busy and varied role and candidates should have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Although advantageous, the post requires no previous experience of working in a school setting. Previous experience is desirable however full training will be provided for the right candidate.
