We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated LLDD Tutor to join Cumbria Adult Learning. Ideally, you will have experience of working in an Adult Education environment. The successful applicant will be highly skilled and have a real passion for inspiring and encouraging adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to maximise their potential.

 

We offer a wide and extensive range of subjects to LLDD learners - such as independent living, literacy and numeracy, arts and crafts - and the right candidate will offer interesting and engaging courses and qualifications.

Our tutors are supportive, empathetic, dynamic and above all are committed to making a real difference in improving the lives and opportunities of our learners. In partnership with local organisations, we offer classes in venues across Carlisle and the surrounding area. A flexible approach is required to meet the needs of our local communities.

There may also be the opportunity to work in the Penrith area, subject to demand from partner organisations and local communities.

Experience in a teaching environment, a teaching qualification and experience of working with LLDD are essential for the role. A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about supporting pupil’s learning and development in our popular oversubscribed school.
You will be part of a team who work collaboratively in class and provide support to a number of pupils with special educational needs.
